Poetic Iridescence: Glory to the King

In the darkest of times,
With the direst of needs,
When it felt like I've committed too many crimes,
When it felt like I've done too many evil deeds,
You were there to lift me up.

Your glory is higher than the mountains,
Greater than kings,
Your presence gushing forth from fountains,
Saturating more than all things,
Your love all encompassing,
Your grace all enveloping,
Your mercy all embracing.

Behold the light, O darkness!
Behold his power!
It shall scare you witless!
It shall rip you asunder!
He will render you powerless,
And against him you will not prosper!

Hark, people of the King!
Hear not the voices of evil,
But come before him while anticipating,
Rejecting the wiles of the devil.

Be imbued with his might!
Take the victory with your hand!
Step into his light!
And you shall inherit your promised land!

In the darkest of times,
With the direst of needs,
When it felt like I've committed too many crimes,
When it felt like I've done too many evil deeds,
You were there to lift me up.
You were there when I had no leads,
You were there for even the smallest pup,
You were there to help me water my seeds.

You were there, and thus I sing,
You were there, my eternal King.
